The AITSL Standards;
By breaking up the work and having students within the primary classroom to fill out a worksheet demonstrating that they fully understand each part of an assignment, similar to the 5 e's sheet that we were asked to fill out, it demonstrates AITSL standard #2, "knowing the content and how to teach it". By ensuring that the students are on task, and possibly helping those who are having trouble understanding the reasoning behind the activity, it demonstrates that you as a teacher have, or are making sure, that you have efficiently taught the information within the curriculum to all the children in your class.
Likewise, the idea of comparing activities and resources as a teacher is a useful habit that I would suggest to get into as it not only meets the AITSL Standards #3.4 and #3.5, by allowing you to see the pro's and con's of each resource, but it can assist in deciding which program would better-suit the students within your class, and support students’ understanding, engagement and achievement. Colleagues will similarly be able to benefit from comparisons as they will be able to plan classes easier by already having a sheet of resources developed outlining which programs children in specific age groups find more beneficial and easier to use.
